💡 Quote of the Week
"Zoom out, zoom in, zoom out." — Brian Balfour
Heard this on the latest Forget The Funnel episode and couldn't help but fall in love. Being a marketer often requires looking at things through different lenses. You have to look at the big picture... What are the overarching themes of our brand? And you have to get in the weeds a bit... How can I use this Zap to integrate Google Analytics with my CRM and run a combined report? Zoom in, zoom out. If you're used to being in the weeds, don't forget to zoom out once in a while. Or if you're used to just being "the big picture" guy, get in the weeds sometimes and get your hands dirty with some tactics.

What Is Bottom of the Funnel Content?
This has been a very timely article for me personally. I've been developing this philosophy of bottom-up marketing, and bottom of funnel content is a large component of that. Bottom of funnel content is sort of that creepy empty guest room at your friend's house that's always there but you've never been brave enough to venture inside. When was the last time you thought about bottom of funnel content?
What SaaS startups can learn from other industries
If you're not careful, you can get stuck in the SaaS vortex of other SaaS companies, SaaS marketers, and SaaS blogs that all talk about the same thing. Believe it or not, yes, you can learn from other industries. It can even be a competitive advantage. I'm glad someone is finally talking about this!
Getting 50,000 visitors and #2 ranking on Google with one post
This is a testament that the right content for the right audience is worth 10x more than 100 crappy content pieces for the wrong audience. What I love about the post that's featured in this article is so ordinary. There's nothing flashy, crazy, or extraordinary about the one that got them 50,000 visitors, which is like 20x what they normally got in an entire month.

I'm not usually a big fan of the "growth hacks to try" kind of posts but I couldn't resist with the shear amount in this post. Turns out, it's not half bad! Put these on your growth experiments list. I especially like the "Conversions" section.

The Growth Hacker's Guide To The Galaxy by Mark Hayes and Jeff Goldenberg
This is a little gem I stumbled across one day. It's not your average growth hacking book written by the college kid who growth hacked his dating site to a bazillion dollars a month. Two industry vets put a lot of time and energy into this one.
