Have you ever thought about launching on AppSumo? If you're not familiar, AppSumo is a daily deals website for digitally distributed goods and online services founded in March 2010 by Noah Kagan, seeing more than 1.5 million monthly visits. It's hugely popular and can be a great growth tactic for your SaaS at the right time. Since AppSumo takes a chunk of the revenue generated, a lot of people are skeptical of the value of launching on AppSumo. Some of the key things to note in the article is how Serpstat negotiated with the AppSumo team, how they structured the plans available, and how they thought of the goals of launching on AppSumo.
Website redesigns are one of the most expensive, time-consuming, and inconclusive marketing projects. Having gone through a few (and designing a couple myself), even thinking about redesigning a website gives me the jitters. This is exactly what was going through the heads of the marketing team at Yotpo. But their experience was radically different from most other website redesigns (that you never hear about): they saw a 93% increase in lead generation. In other words, they got almost double the amount of leads by redesigning the website. But what's actually remarkable about the redesign is the process they went through. Some of my favorite nuggets from the write up are: "The biggest downfall of any high-stakes project is too many cooks in the kitchen," "We determined that the only way to do a thorough job in a reasonable amount of time would be by identifying key pages to work on," and "Understand the easiest and most effective way to explain your product."
